IMU Economics Master's Program (IYLP) offers an education that provides high-level technical skills for research staff in academia, private sector or public sector. The program is suitable for those who want to pursue an academic career, as well as those who are considering working in the private and public sectors.
IYLP differs from other programs in Istanbul in that it contains an optimal combination of economic theory, philosophy and history, and data-based modeling studies. The interests and research areas of the faculty members provide students with the opportunity to write a thesis in the fields of health economics and economic history where econometric tools are used extensively, as well as traditional fields such as labor economics, educational economics, international trade, industrial organization, macroeconomics, economic growth.
İYLP aims to prepare its graduates for the global labor market. In addition to qualified education, there are opportunities to take courses from universities in Europe with Erasmus student exchange programs.
For students who aim for an academic career in economics, our graduates are exempt from compulsory courses if they are accepted to the IMU Economics Doctorate Program.
